0 Understanding the Dating Game

That day I was talking with one of my friends and mind it, she is a girl. Very beautiful and can stop you deers dumbfounded on your tracks. Ha, you know what I mean.

So, actually we were talking about petty things like how MJ died or the Presidential election of Barack Obama and such stupid and boring things (though we were having fun all the time though). Anyways, through the time, the topic suddenly got changed to dating and we started talking about the dating game.

We are close friends and we are quite frank with each other. We understand each other well but that particular day, I couldn't just get what she was saying or perhaps, I didn't quite want to get that.

I asked her, "Tell me , why do girls play games? I mean we guys are quite the obvious things you know... We tell you we like you and we do mean it, of course you know that, don't you? Don't mind but girls say something, mean something and do something. Why is that?"

She was thinking hard of it and I could tell that she was just playing any game with me because she didn't need to after all these years of such a good friendship. She thoughtfully said, "I don't know, sometimes we enjoy it, sometimes just like that". Of course, I was not quite satisfied with the answer but didn't push her. I left her to think of the dating game for a bit and went off to get two glasses of beer for us.

That night, when I went off to sleep (I was alone since I'm cutting off my number of girlfriends a bit, exams are near and had to wake up early the next morning), the question suddenly popped into my mind. What is the dating game and why do they actually play it? Do they have a reason to do so or they just do it for fun? I asked a friend of mine, a little senior to me and a kind of Casanova he is, about what the dating game is. He said, "All in good time, bro!"

After a year or two, now I understand what the dating game is and why these women actually play games. See, to be honest, I'm not a sexist but I would still say that women naturally have one thing valuable for the world and that is their sexuality. Since this is man-centric world, to survive women have to provide some value and that is their sex. It can be traced back to the early primitive ages as well. I will not be shy and will admit that our biological hardwiring makes us look for different partners, who are potential mates, and spread our seeds as much as we can. We just like to move on! But here's where women are different. Once they choose a mate, they want to stick to him and depend on him. Their nurturing nature compels them to take care of him and provide a ground to him. Sounds pretty philosophical, huh? But it's true. Even the modern day high profile women have this kind of instinctual feeling. And for this very reason, they play the games. It's just screening test on their part. They are just choosing the best from the rest.

It is the normal reality of a super hot blonde where she is used to bunch of chodes (term credit to RSD) all day long. Some come up bragging about their big car, some come up nervously, some are just so sleazy, you know what I mean. Girls hate these things. They want a real man with a real personality. And for these very reasons, they come up with hurdles that men have to overcome to show their worth to their women. Remember, when you are in Rome, do as Romans do! Play by the rules.

And one note to end with, even when you think some are playing games for fun, deep inside they are just showing you the way of how to win their heart. That's the dating game.
